School DIYs and small businesses are “self-service” marketing schemes harnessing the power of industrial-grade embroidery machines to sew custom embroidered patches, using basic polyester threads. Custom embroidered patches are indeed affordable. Additionally, these patches require minimal sewing on or heat activation, making them versatile. Since patches do not include luxury 3D textures or complicated specialty threads, logos and motifs can be offered for much lower rates. While lacking finesse, such patches are suitable for short-term mass distribution, sustaining cleanness and durability despite rougher production. Patches that are designed and recreated with 3D detail have higher price tags which is a benefit for clients focused on lower prices without extreme precision. Bust stitched patches can survive basic washing.
